These are the three pieces of equipment that we used during our project. We used a DV1 shock proof camera and a tripod to film the scenes. In the scene we used the computer to access photoshop in which we transported photos from premier elements onto blogger. We also used adobe premier elements to access our film and to edit and render our film. We used mindjet manager pro 6 to assist us with some of our planning and research and to help with our evaluation activities to show what our audience liked within our film. We have a used other technology such as the i phone to introduce commentary's over the film. We used adobe software such as premiere elements and photoshop to edit and make the core of the film. Photoshop was used for most of our evaluation activities and to produce our title sequences.
We have also used network's such as youtube so that we could put our film onto the Internet. Blogger is a big part of how we were able to do our evaluation tasks. We used it to post the evaluation tasks and relevant comments on blogger. Adobe Premier was an easy software to use initially ,the editing and initial set up of the film was easy to put on to blogger. I personally found it more difficult when I had to put sound onto the film and thankfully I had a reliable and trustworthy group who could help me with that specific part of the software
I will now talk more about the film camera that we used. It is a DV1 waterproof and shockproof camera with built in usb. This allowed us to process the film onto the computer which were then put into premier elements. It was then ready for editing and rendering. The camera we had was a HDMI camera which means that it was easily accessible to upload and render our copies of our film. The camera gives the film the real look and makes everyone feel like the film has an authentic look to it.
The trailer starts off with a build up of music it starts off very tense and straight away we are shown the main characters who in this film is the hobbit and his companions. The trailer starts off with a monologue from the hobbit as he talks through his friends and what they are too him. There then starts to be a build up of music as we find out that the hobbit is about to go an adventure. We are then shown a personality of the character as we see that he is very loving when he is talking to Gandalf we know he is Gandalf due to other films in this trilogy. We then see two cut pieces that explain who the director is of the film and what trilogy this film is linked too .
The music then starts to build up as we are introduced to new characters such as the elves and villains that the hobbit is having to face in his adventure the music then starts to mellow out as we feel that the hobbit is starting to overcome this adventure until the music starts to lift again as it shows us more action scenes this entices the audience as they are able to see two sides to the film good and evil . We are able to see all the surroundings in the film.
We have designed and handed out questionnaires to the rest of our class and
friends and asked whether they would fill them out for us. The results of the
questionnaire will give Conor and myself a realistic idea as to what to base our
film on and what would make our film watchable to them and a attractive
prospect. Our class and friends is the age that we are trying to attract, they
are our target group, so it is important that we take their comments in
consideration as they know what makes a good film for them so we must
acknowledge that. Results soon to follow
The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film directed, produced and co-written by Christopher Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is part of Nolan's Batman film series and a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. Christian Bale reprises the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, with a returning cast of Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The film introduces the character of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Gotham's newly elected District Attorney and the cohort of Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal), who joins Batman and the police in combating the new rising threat of a criminal calling himself the "Joker" (Heath Ledger).
Nolan's inspiration for the film was the Joker's comic book debut in 1940, and the 1996 series The Long Halloween, which retold Two-Face's origin. In addition elements of Steve Englehart and Marshall Rogers' Dark Detective miniseries as well as the unpublished follow-up were reportedly cannibalised along with other elements of Batman mythology for the story.[4][5] The Dark Knight was filmed primarily in Chicago, as well as in several other locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. Nolan used an IMAX camera to film some sequences, including the Joker's first appearance in the film.
I have analysed this film because it may not be a comedy but ticks the conventional superhero movie there is always a good guy trying to get the bad guy before he commits the worst offence he ever would . After analysing the opening two minutes of this film i have noticed that there is very little detail this is because they are trying to inform the audience of what is going to happen throughout the film i think we will also go down this road and apply these.
Step Brothers is a
classic example of a cliche comedy as it follows all the steps to make a
succesfull comedy firstly you have the fallout then the two men who i suppose
are stuck in younger brains become friends and as they are having so much fun it
all goes wrong when the dad and mum think that they need to be responsible after
going through the film trying to get them to get jobs it is them who re-unite
them and as they peform a powerfull ballad they all live happily ever
after.
All comedies have there own conventions and cliches to follow by for example
adam sandler in happy gilmore, water boy and just go with it where he has a long
adventure meets a girl has to try and win her heart in the end he does and
obviously they live happily ever after. See in will ferrels films he starts them
with him not liking someone or a distraction ends up liking this person but just
like the romance films you have an argument or something that distarcts the
character from there aim but in the end they are reunited an excellent example
of this is step brothers
This is the trailer
for the a fantastic comedy the hangover the reason this film did so well is
because of the way there trailer was laid out it gave the viewers a look at the
way the whole film was laid out it gave them a glimpse at good highlights form
the beggining, middle and the end they involve good jokes such as paging dr
faggot this obviously makes the audience laugh and attracts the audience to go
and watch the rest of the film. Within the first two minutes they make sure that
they try to gat a good amount of comedy in without showing the audience too
much.
The Hangover is a 2009
American comedy film directed by Todd Phillips and written by Jon Lucas and
Scott Moore. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather
Graham, Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor. The Hangover tells the story of Phil
Wenneck, Stu Price and Alan Garner, who travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for a
bachelor party to celebrate Doug Billings' impending marriage to Tracy Garner.
However, after being drugged with roofies, Phil, Stu and Alan have no memory of
the previous night's events and must find Doug before the wedding can
occur.
Lucas and Moore wrote
the script after executive producer Chris Bender's friend disappeared and had a
large bill after being sent to a strip club. Lucas and Moore sold it to the
studio for $2 million, Philips and Jeremy Garelick rewrote the script to include
a tiger as well as a subplot involving a baby and a police cruiser, and also
including boxer Mike Tyson. Filming took place in Nevada for 15 days, and during
filming, the three main actors established a friendship between
them.
To make a decision for which film institution
is hard as all intsitutions offer the same services, all the big companies such
as Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers and Universial etc have all films
covering all film genres. Making a choice which institution offers the most to
out film is a hard decision to make. The Oceans triology were all made by Warner
Brothers studios, whilst both Italian Jobs were made by Paramount Pictures.
Layer cake was made by Sony Pictures.
Taking all of these institutions into account I think that I personally would lean towards Paramount Pictures as I personally feel that those types of films with the serious outlook is where we are trying to take our film too and that is why i would take our film down that route . The reason we may side with Warner brothers is because of the way they have an upbeat crime film and that is something we can realte too.
In this poster they centre the three main charcters to show the audience who they are and that they will be the main characters in it.
They use the red background to attract the audience to the black and white of the main characters .
They use the dice into the corner to show that this film will involve gambling but if that will be of the game type is still undecided
They have the title in bold writing which attracts the audience to the name and makes them see the franchise
We see the names of the charcters above the title this is to show the audinec the big names that are in the film and by doing this you apply a selling point
From looking at films such
as Ocean 11we have found out that the clothing for that genre of film is suits
and smart shirts as they are quite often in casinos and gambling in high up
places. If our story line involves some kind of gambling scheme then it is
likely that we will feature in our film wearing shirts or suits as it fits in to
the genre. There have been parts in the films where some of the characters have
worn boiler suits or dressed as matainence men, that is usually included so they
can sneak into the casino or reach areas which are perhaps out of bounds to
non-staff. Personally I like the idea of wearing suits or shirts as it make us
look smart, it is also a good idea to have the same dress scheme as films in the
similar genre especially the Oceans films as they were very successful.
I have been researching possible certificates
for the film by looking at other 'rat pack' films and they all vary around 12
and 12a. this is a good age as I believe that we want to make the film
accessible to the majority of possible film viewers. 12 to 12a allows all
viewers 12 and over to watch the film, the 12a allows younger viewers to watch
the film as long as supervised by an adult. Below is rat pack films and their
ratings:
Oceans Eleven-12 Oceans Twelve-12A Oceans
Thirteen-PG The Italian Job (2003)-12A The Italian Job (1969)-PG Layer
Cake-15
After studying oceans eleven to thirteen music they all seem to have the same sound they consitnently go for an upbeat tune throughout this is because the ocean films are going for a more of a comic crime film where as me and Alex are going for a more classic crime film such as Goodfellas or the godfather in which they have more of a dark soundtrack into which the audience are always left wondering what will happen where as with the oceans soundtracks they leave the audience looking at the comedy of the film and the fight scenes rather than the plot line of the actual crime film
Me and Alex have decided that for this trailer we are going to design our own music using a music software app . We feel by doing this we can explore a broad route of music and really find the right sound for our trailer over a variety of different tunes rather than a copyrighted music that wouldn't give the trailer the authentic feel . By doing this we show the audience that the trailer has all of our touches on it
For my trailer this year I
will be working with Alex Valente, our genre is going to be crime/theft type
film that follows such films as the oceans 11,12,13. Within our trailer we will
try to make it similar to the conventions of the oceans films trailers, as they
gained critical acclamation globally. We have looked at these trailers already
and we have noted some of the conventions that these trailers follow. Will need
to have plenty of action scenes such as fights and chases, there will most
likely be very little gun fights as there isn't much of those in this series of
films. All that we know is that there will be some kind of ransom that this pair
of professional thieves have to pay of off and they will pull a major robbery
that will give them the money to pay it off. Another thing I noticed in the
trailers is that there were some funny punchlines in the trailer which my self
and Alex will most likely try and add into our trailer.
Actresses who were considered for the role of Bridget Jones were Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Rachel Weisz and Cameron Diaz. Toni Collette declined the role because she was on Broadway starring in The Wild Party at the time. Kate Winslet was also considered, but the producers decided she was too young.

. Immediate music- fun disco music
. Gravelly american voice over (convention)- "in every life, there comes a time, to turn the page"
. Fast paced editing- Bridget throws away a book called "what men want", cigarettes, and an empty bottle of alcohol.
. There is then a zoom into a diary in which she is going to start, where the name of the film floats out from the right hand side as she turns the page and sits centre screen.
. Fade into a mid shot of Bridget holding some massive pants. The writing on screen fades out.
. Fast camera shots of Bridget wearing the big pants- there is a swishing sound as the camera shots are on screen.
. Fast motion to show Bridget cycling in the gym, there is another swishing sound as the fast motion stops and she falls off the bike- humour.
. Long shot- Bridget sat in the middle of the room looking scruffy and writing in her diary (voice over is Bridget talking- what she is writing)

. Bridget is lying on top of Hugh Grant- mid shot- phone ring (humour)
The red writing reminds the audience of the previous installment of the
film.
Brad Pitt gets a call a call from a character in the previous film who the
crew robbed from. this gives the audience an idea as to what the story line will
be about.
Within the film there are many unique selling points as there is an a list
cast which includes the likes of George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
the phone call and the ransom is serious as Pitt's car explodes.
When Pitt is on the phone the camera is filmin over the shoulder
The woods is where me and alex will film one of our scenes and we think that the chase scene would be most effective in this enviroment because there are alot of things that could go wrong in a chase scene and being in the woods incorporates them all for example getting flung into trees or jumping over a log these two add a bit more action to these scenes. You could also have him falling over a stick this grabs the audience attention and makes them ask the question is he going to get caught . I think though that me and alex are going to use the glimpse of the heroic charcter jumping over the log because we feel like theat could be the shot where the audience start to relate the charcter to a hero. We also feel that we will shoot the small scene in the day obviously we feel that will get the greatest effect. We would also like to shoot this particular scene in the rain . We've discussed it and we came to the conclusion that if it was to rain we would add excitment to the scene because of the conditions.
In this scene i feel like we could use transport to our advantage. As we see in other films such as The Bourne Identity and James Bond we see a train scene where somebody is maybe tracking somebody on the train then follows them off or as they walk off they take them with them and lead them to the villanous charcacter . I feel like this could be effective in our film but i have not concluded wether i could use this scene as at the end or another small clip in the middle i personally feel that this scene would be more effective at the end where the villanousor heroic character could amke a witty catchphrase which could leave the audience on the edge of there seats wondering what is going to happen and how this will effect the heroic character.
So in our film me and alex have decided to go for a Crime Ransom film after a long discussion with our teacher this is how we have decided to lay out our film.
Begginning- So were going to start off with a conference room scene where we will see all the main characters in one place this will describe the plot and who the ransom will be paid too who will be the conventional villain . We will also describe the fee that is to be paid that way everyone understand how much is on the line in this film. This adds tension to the film and gets the audience excited. The conference room will use close up shots and long shots of the charcters this will be effective shots in the room we are planning to use.
Middle- Quick scene flashes we want a fast paced action shots .In this scene we are going to flick between black shots and an action shot.We will use various action shots to portray a scene in which we get the audience enticed. Obviously because of the small budget we will have to leave out things such as explosions ! We will use guns though and it being fired. This will obviously excite the audience we will also have a short clip of one of me and alex running . We could also introduce the villanious charcter maybe in a solo office in a dark enviroment which obviously makes the audience see this man as a villain
End- This is where we need to leave the audience wanting more by using a witty catchphrase to end the scene which will make the audience wanting more and maybe a dramatic scene such as the hero which is yet to be decided rolling down in a mountain/hill in a suit then we make the character walk to the camera maybe brushing himself off or leaving with a catchphrase this will really make the audience associate this man with a hero and make him see unbeatable.
Monte Carlo is a 2011 American romantic comedy film
directed by Thomas Bezucha. Nicole Kidman, Denise Di Novi, Arnon Milchan and
Alison Greenspan produced the film for Fox 2000 Pictures and Regency
Enterprises. It began production in Budapest, Hungary on May 5, 2010. Monte
Carlo stars Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy as three friends
posing as rich people in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The film was released on July 1,
2011
In this
film a young woman, her uptight stepsister, and her best friend use their
savings for a long-anticipated dream trip to Paris, which turns out to be a big
disappointment. When the tour bus leaves them behind they duck into the lobby of
a luxury hotel and one of them is mistaken for a spoiled British heiress. Before
they get the chance to reveal their true identities, they are wrapped up in
misadventures during a vacation to Monte Carlo instead
Monte Carlo is a bit different from most romances of course it follows the easy
cliches such as the early romances and then the fall out and then of course
happily ever after but unsually to romance they involve even more than one
character this is becoming more regular but still not a usual habit for the
conventional romances they do this so that the audience can focus on one or more
storylines unfortunately film makers have found it hard to get great ratings as
the audience feel that they do not have the same emotional connection to the
character unlike those films that have the basic two romantic characters
This is the poster for the
film Killing Them Softly:
Again white bold writing on the black background following all the
conventions of crime posters.
Brad Pitt is clearly the main selling point as he is the only character on
the poster and his name is above the others by the film title.
No film release date for the film.
the gun indicates the film genre.
Names of the other actors underneath the character.
Cannes film festival award recognition on the film poster which could
indicate to the audience how good the film is. Cannes is a globally recognised
film festival.

Analysis of Trailer
Music- throughout the trailer they have the same upbeat music i think with our film we may start more tensley .
The trailer starts off with a comedic joke in an interrogation this is effective as straight away the audience relate to that genre and know what the film is about. They also incorporate Warner Bros and Village roadshow pictures so we know straight away what companies have helped them out. The interrogation also gives a back story.
It then gets heated and the music tenses up this adds a different dimension to the film. After being released from prison, Danny Ocean George Clooney breaks parole and travels to Los Angeles to meet up with his former partner in crime and close friend Rusty Ryan Brad Pitt to propose a scheme he has in mind. The two go to Las Vegas to pitch the plan to wealthy friend and former casino owner Reuben Tishkoff Elliott Gould. The plan consists of simultaneously robbing the Bellagio,
The Mirage, and the MGM Grand casinos. Reuben's familiarity with casino security makes him very reluctant to get involved, but when he begins to think of it as a good way to get back at his rival, Terry Benedict Andy GarcÃa, who owns all three casinos, Reuben agrees to finance the operation. Because the casinos are required by the Nevada Gaming Commission to have enough cash on hand to cover all their patrons' bets, the three predict that, on the upcoming night of a highly anticipated boxing match, the Bellagio vault will contain more than $150 million
Goodfellas Poster Analysis
Goodfellas Movie
Poster.
This is a poster for the film Goodfellas which
was based on a true story and gained critical acclimation. The film was based on
the Nicolas Pileggi novel which told the true story of Henry Hill as he climbed
the ranks of a local mob.
The poster clearly shows the 3 main characters in the film as they are lit
up as the rest of the picture is dark.
The font is in fitting with other gangster movies as the Godfather follows a
similar font.
Above the actors heads they have their names.
The men have very formal clothing on, which gangsters have a well known
association of wearing.
There is a dead body underneath the title of the film.
The setting is America which you can tell by the railway bridge in which the
body is under.
The credits are at the bottom of the poster as others are.
Neither actor is smiling, they are all pulling serious faces indicating what
the theme of the film could be.
The Black and White Background and Writing is a convention of crime posters in which we always see a balck background . The black and white can also be associated to someone who is inprisoned and who has commited a crime.
2.The cat is a symbol of a villianous character we could link the cat to other films such as james bond in which the cat is seen at the side of the villain.
3. The strings playing the father part of the godfather shows he is the pupateer of people. This shows his role in the film and shows that because it is over the father part he has two sides to him .
4. The poster has incorporated a slogan at the bottom this gives people who are intrested a quick overview on what they can excpect to see in the film. This also may draw others into teh film who werent too excited about the film .
5. The man is faded out on the sides we see his face so that we can determine what we precieve of him and we also see his hands which we associate with him killing someone .
Crime Film Ideas
Two Characters One is a Lonesome Character who is on his own on the run from a villainous character who could be after something such as money i think we would also incorporate a chase scene as the picture below i think that a chase scene in a film could be effective as it gets the audience interacting in the clip and make them want to see the film to know why the character is being chased and if the other character catches him what will he do and why was he chasign him in the first place.
I have picked this picture because firstly it incorporates a chase scene which is very important to the trailer i want to make but not only that they are both wearing suits which i think is the route i want to take our film down where you can tell that maybe one is a buisness man and the other is more of a gangster with a suit so you cant tell the difference between them and what role they will play in the film.
I also want to add a scene where maybe the more heroic character in the trailer is on some sort of transport in a race against time i think adding that will involve the audience as it will get them thinking will this heroic character make it in time to this destination or will the villanious character catch up to him and what will he do.
In the trailer i think we should start with some soft music then as the trailer goes on we build the music up until around half way where the music reaches a climax with a dramatic scene we then lower the music tension as the trailer finishes off.
Sin City, also known as Frank Miller's Sin City, is a 2005 American crime thriller film written, produced and directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez. It is a neo-noir based on Miller's graphic novel series of the same name.
The film is primarily based on three of Miller's works. The Hard Goodbye: About a man who embarks on a brutal rampage in search of his one-time sweetheart's killer, killing anyone, even the police, that gets in his way of finding and killing her murderer; The Big Fat Kill: Focuses on a street war between a group of prostitutes and a group of mercenaries, the police, and the mob; and That Yellow Bastard: Follows an aging police officer who protects a young woman from a grotesquely disfigured serial killer.
The film stars an ensemble cast including Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio del Toro, Carla Gugino, Rutger Hauer, Jaime King, Michael Madsen, Brittany Murphy, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, Nick Stahl, Bruce Willis and Elijah Wood
Trailer Analysis
The trailer begins, like the other trailers, with a distribution logo ‘Dimension
Films’ and ‘Troublemaker Studios’. Troublemaker being relevant as founded by
Robert Rodriguez and also director of Sin City. As the trailer builds up there is a non-diegetic, mysterious and slow music
which also sounds action based. There are a few banging sounds which can connote
guns. The shot of Marv dissolves to an image of a woman, where there is
colour illustrated. There is then a quick, long shot of two police cars;
the shot doesn’t look real, almost as though it’s a cartoon reflecting back to
the narrative being unrealistic. The cars are outside, where we realise that it
is night, this can connote crime as depicted in the dark so nobody can
witness.
The shot fades to black where we see another mid shot of a female character,
where the background is misty, connoting an eerie sense. The character looks
innocent as she is wearing crosses that stand out. The character is small
compared to the majority of the shot indicating her innocence further. The dissolve transition may indicate that the separate stories interlink with
one another. There is a mid shot of the dependent looking girl, which zooms
in to her face as the woman says ‘’helpless little girl’’ signifying her
vulnerability further. Additionally, she looks younger than most of the other
characters being portrayed, signifying her purity in comparison to them. There is a close up shot of a sword, which indicates further the significance of
the weapons to the story. There is the indication to the rain again, which
is a common motif within the ‘Sin City’ products that I have analysed
highlighting a suppressive feel to the atmosphere. We see Marv again, where the
camera slowly pans up him. The camera then cuts to a character holding a gun,
which then quickly cuts up him, perhaps indicating that he is a distorted figure
within the film. The camera focuses on his face for a while, with him looking
directly at the camera, giving him a fierce and dominant persona.
There is then a line up of shots containing the actors and their name. The
writing is a similar font to the ‘Sin City’ sign at the end of the trailer. The
writing is red, and looks abraded; some of the letters look as though they are
gun shots. The deformation effect to the writing suggests a portentous
indication to the film. There is then a few action shots, one where there
is a female character, who throws a weapon, she is wearing dark clothing and has
a leg showing, suggesting that she may be a seductive figure, like a lot of the
other women, in the trailer, are indicated to be. There is a cartoon
version of two characters previously shown in the trailer accumulating to the
reflections of Miller’s comics. Additionally there is an unrealistic shot of a
character with a yellow substance on his hand.
The Godfather is a 1972 crime film directed by Francis Ford Copolla and produced by Albert Ruddy. the film is based on puzos 1969 novel of the same name . The film stars Marlon Brando and al Paccino who run a powerful New York Crime Family . The story spans 10 years . The film centers around a ruthless mafia boss and how he deals with outsiders.
Review of The Trailer
The trailer starts off with a vibrant and soft start in which we see awoman and a man dancing we see these charcters as love intrests and that they will play a vital role in the film. We then see a man who dressed very formally ordering someone around so we relate him with a leadership front. We notice that he is sitting very relaxed which we relate to an over confidence of him. The next clip we see is a man looking through some blinds the audience see this man as someone who is scared and waiting for something bad to happen to him . The music now intensifies . We see a bag being taken off someone head which shows that he is being held captive we then see a gun shot. This is effective because it leaves the audience wanting more and wanting to see who has been shot.
We then see a man being threatened and then there is a drak figure we associate this man with danger and link him into the threatning of the man.We then see alot of men arguing and a dead body we relate the men arguing and the dead body to each other. Two dark figures appear we once again associate them to the other dark figure who is dangerous and destructive. Then we go back to the melow start of the wedding and that makes us fully understand that that scene will play a key role .
Another angry figure appears and the audience are led to believe that this man will play a key role in the wedding and because of the lighting around him we believe he is a bad character. We then see a few characters who look very upset and we know they are in trouble with the gang . Once again this is very effective as it gets the audience asking the question why are these men upset ? and what has caused it ? . This is good because this get the audience asking questions which gets them involved. There is a tense ending to the film.
Me and Alex Valente have decided that we are going to do a crime film trailer here are some of teh conventions linked to a crime film some of teh films i will analyse are Sin City and the Godfather
Most modern action/adventure films tend to follow simple conventions of action adventure films by doing this they attract an audience who love to see action cliches so an action adventure trailer is key in establishing these conventions . Some of these conventions are there being explosions throughout. People firing guns but they never seem to hit the hero! The hero always finds a love interest and that love interest always seems to get in some bother with the villain character. There is always a big fight scene in which the villain and his army come to blows with the hero but thankfully the hero always triumphs. By the hero winning it allows sequels and a chance to incorporate more villainous characters in which the audience can find a new disliked person.
The trailer starts off with some tense music and a female narrating .Straight away this makes the audience question who is she and what role does she have to play in the film . Getting the audience asking questions is effective at getting them interested in the film and eager to watch it to find out who this mysterious character is and how she will effect the plot . The content of the narration informs us that a storm is coming ,we link this with with destruction which gets us excited as to what this storm is and what role it will play. We then see what looks like a villainous character we think this because we see a strap around his mouth and a sack being taken off his head this has connotation that he is dangerous and from that we link this character to the storm. Seeing the villain excites the audience as they can now see who Batman will have to face but it also excites Batman fans as they know about this villain and what he is capable of so they are even more excited. We the see the plane the villain is on crush another plane which shows us that this man is trouble and is out to get batman . We then see batman struggling against this new villain which allows the audience to sympathise with batman and really route for him . We also see a woman character who we relate to the narrator and we see her as an aid and a love interest for batman. This is effective in a trailer as anyone who has seen anything batman related now wants to see what happens to him.
The trailer shows lots of conventional action sequences one of the stand out ones is when batman and bane and there army's are fighting and we see explosions which is another action adventure convention. Showing tasters of the action to come in the trailer is effective in an action films trailer as that is ultimately what the audience want to see. The narration and dialogue of the clip leaves us as the audience with lots of questions which will influence us to watch the film in the hope of finding answers. They have shown a few key sequences but have left the audience wanting more to see how batman will cope against his new villain .
In this Empire Magazine cover we firstly notice the bold writing it sticks out to us as it shows us the bold title this immediately captures the readers attention and makes them want to read on more. The front pictures captures all fans of batman straight away we see a recognisable figure from the batman novel his arch nemesis the joker . In the picture we see the expression of the joker which shows him as a strange figure and someone you would not approach straight away we know he is the villain .
The font of the writing is in bold writing and also in writing which could be associated to the batman saga . The green and black used allows the audience to also see that the joker is a villainous which once again draws in the reader. They have also used the writing to attract readers to there other articles. The front cover is focused mainly on the jokers face rather than any other part of his attire .
This is an example of the font of Batman . By Empire incorporating this into there magazine it attracts batman fans and people who have seen batman as they relate this writing to The Batman Corporation and makes them want to read it just because they relate the article to batman . They also have the slogan Batman vs The Joker - Summer just got serious
