Where are we up too
This is the software we have started using for our editing which obviously brings me onto the point that me and alex have started to edit our film after spending two days filming our final peice. Adobe Premier Elements is a useful resoursce because it allows us to edit and upload our film.
Filming
These are pictures of me and alex filming on the 30th of January as you can see me and alex are holding the DV1 camera that we have been using throughout our filming . Me and alex are also using our tripod and we have also shown some of our location that we shot in . It is a muddy path wher we filmed the scene in which me and alex run over the puddle.
Storyboard Update
Conor and I have completed our storyboard, there is a storyboard animatic to
follow. we have the storyboard as a brief outline to the trailer, the timing
wont be as accurate as the storyboard. Conor and myself both worked on this
story board and we believe that it fits our genre perfectly and if we can pull
off all of the scenes as planned we believe that it will be a very high quality
piece of work. we will aim to film i as soon as we have the story board uploaded
to our blog.
Weather Issues
Alex and myself have had some issues with the filming of our trailer. The
original plan was to film the majority of our scenes today, Sunday, the adverse
weather conditions have stopped us. The reason Alex and I have decided not to
film is because it may cause continuity issues as well as danger whilst filming.
We feel that if we film a clip on a day when the weather is rare and we need to
re film it we would have to wait for the weather to change again. We have
delayed it a week with the aim to film next Sunday, 27th.
Thankfully me and alex have been able to film this week and have had great success in the filming weve decided that we are going to use a range of shots for each scene we do that way when it comes to editing we can choose various shots for that particular scen. On the 30th and 29th of January is when we started filming and we used various locations such as teh school train station and various foot paths we used .

Where were up too ?
In the latest installment of what me and alex are uptoo in our film we have decided taht we will start production on our film on sunday we have decided that we will open our film with universal pictures to show institutions and there research we will also open with a slow motion clip of a coin flicking in the air by doing this it adds tension to the scene and we will have a phrase which is ' Heads you die Tails you Live' then by the end there is a heads flick which makes the audience think that someone will die but also because of the way we have the voiceover the audience wont understand who and what is leading to this build up.
Me and Alex are finishing our anamatic storyboard at the moment and hoep to have it up on blogger in the next few days hopefully once we have done that we will just have to post about a few more films.
Weather Report
Recently weve been having some adverse weather such as snow and extreme frost and because we would like to keep continuity in our film we are waiting to this sunday where even though it may be frosty we can keep continuity in the film through filming over the week period.

Fake Money
Similar films such as the Oceans series use props such as fake money and casino chips. The money will be used to give to the villain who demands the money back. We are also using a coin in one of our vital scenes in which we flip the coin over and it is like a heads or tails decision to if someone will live or die and this adds the tension to the scene.
This fake money also adds to the scene the fact that we can use props in a way which we can use in a positive way we are also going to use props such as a gun this is to show more of what our film is about and in this case a crime film and adds a new realism to the scenes

Killing Them Softly
This is the poster for the film Killing Them Softly:
- Again white bold writing on the black background following all the conventions of crime posters.
- Brad Pitt is clearly the main selling point as he is the only character on the poster and his name is above the others by the film title.
- No film release date for the film.
- the gun indicates the film genre.
- Names of the other actors underneath the character.
- Cannes film festival award recognition on the film poster which could indicate to the audience how good the film is. Cannes is a globally recognised film festival.
Lawless
This is the film poster
for the film Lawless:
- There are a lot of main selling points as most of the cast in this film are big names, that are well recognised.
- Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman recents starred in the Dark Knight Rises which was very popular and also starred big names in it.
- The title is in red which could represent danger, which would suit the genre of the film or it could blood which again would suit the genre of the film well.
Costume Research
From looking at films such
as Ocean 11we have found out that the clothing for that genre of film is suits
and smart shirts as they are quite often in casinos and gambling in high up
places. If our story line involves some kind of gambling scheme then it is
likely that we will feature in our film wearing shirts or suits as it fits in to
the genre. There have been parts in the films where some of the characters have
worn boiler suits or dressed as matainence men, that is usually included so they
can sneak into the casino or reach areas which are perhaps out of bounds to
non-staff. Personally I like the idea of wearing suits or shirts as it make us
look smart, it is also a good idea to have the same dress scheme as films in the
similar genre especially the Oceans films as they were very successful.
Breaking Dawn is the fourth and
final novel in the The Twilight Saga by American author Stephenie Meyer. Divided
into three parts, the first and third sections are written from Bella Swan's
perspective and the second is written from the perspective of Jacob Black. The
novel directly follows the events of the previous novel, Eclipse, as Bella and
Edward Cullen get married, leaving behind a heartbroken Jacob. When Bella faces
an unexpected situation, she does what it takes to undergo the ultimate
transformation and fight the final battle to save her love.
Meyer finished an outline of the book in 2003, but developed and changed it as she wrote New Moon and Eclipse, though the main and most significant storylines remained unchanged. Little, Brown and Company took certain measures to prevent the book's contents from leaking, such as closing forums and message boards on several fansites and providing a special e-mail address for fans to send in links to leaks and spoilers online.
Breaking Dawn was released on August 2, 2008 at midnight release parties in over 4,000 bookstores throughout the US. From its initial print run of 3.7 million copies, over 1.3 million were sold in the US and 20,000 in the UK in the first 24 hours of the book's release, setting a record in first-day sales performance for the Hachette Book Group USA. The book was highly successful, selling over 6 million copies in 2008, and was the third best-selling novel of 2008 behind Twilight and New Moon.
Breaking Dawn received mixed reviews from critics and is the most controversial book in the series, as it explored more mature themes and concepts. However, the novel was awarded the British Book Award for "Children's Book of the Year". The book was translated in 38 languages with rights sold to over 50 countries. An upcoming two-part film adaptation of the novel is scheduled for release on November 18, 2011 and November 16, 2012.

Soundtarck Research
Alex and I will have to produce our own music for the film otherwise we may be
deducted marks for copyright. I have look at some music making software we could
probably use. The first software I looked into was Garage Band on the IPad,iPod
and Macs. On the garage band app you can make all sorts of music from using
various different instruments such as guitars, keyboards, drums, and voice there
is different types and styles to each of the instruments mentioned. The next
software I looked at was an free Internet application called audiotool.
Audiotool contains several different samples and loops for the user to edit and
play around with. You can insert you personal sounds as well, you can edit them
by using several different pedals such as a phaser and echo to edit the sounds.
I have used both of these softwares and I have enjoyed using them and I found
them fairly simple to use and would help greatly towards making the soundtrack
to our movie and trailer. We could also make our own music with real instruments
such as guitars as myself have experiance in playing the guitar so we
could maybe take advantage of these skills and produce our own music that
way.

The Hangover is a 2009 American comedy film directed by Todd Phillips and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor. The Hangover tells the story of Phil Wenneck, Stu Price and Alan Garner, who travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for a bachelor party to celebrate Doug Billings' impending marriage to Tracy Garner. However, after being drugged with roofies, Phil, Stu and Alan have no memory of the previous night's events and must find Doug before the wedding can occur.
Lucas and Moore wrote the script after executive producer Chris Bender's friend disappeared and had a large bill after being sent to a strip club. Lucas and Moore sold it to the studio for $2 million, Philips and Jeremy Garelick rewrote the script to include a tiger as well as a subplot involving a baby and a police cruiser, and also including boxer Mike Tyson. Filming took place in Nevada for 15 days, and during filming, the three main actors established a friendship between them.
